New Features and Services

This section describes features and services that are newly introduced in the scope of this release in ix.Cloud.

Antivirus Report

As of now, an antivirus report is available under the Virtual Machine service in Reports (for details see news entry).

Extensions and Changes

This section describes extensions and changes to existing features and services that are modified in the scope of this release in ix.Cloud.

HTML Service Catalog and Release Notes

The Service Catalog and Release Notes are now offered web-based. Further details can be found in the news entry.

In the meantime, all chapters of the Service Catalog have been migrated to the HTML version.

HTML Feedback Form instead of Word Innovation Request

The Word form "Innovation Request" in the ix.Cloud Portal has been replaced with an HTML form (see news entry).

API V2 Endpoints for Resources

The following API endpoints are now available in version 2:

The V1 of the endpoints listed above will be discontinued with Release 22.02 by end of February!

Virtual Machine Reports Optimization

The events of the Virtual Machine Reports (Backup, Patching, and Antivirus) are now retained for 1 year instead of 3 months. In this context, the fields "From" and "To" have been introduced, through which the desired time span of the reports can be set.

Permission Management in the Portal

As of now, you can manage permissions independently via the ix.Cloud Portal, provided your portal user has the necessary rights. Details about this new feature can be found in the news entry.

Last Accessed Resources

The "Last Accessed Resources" card has been added to the home page and to all resource lists in the portal. This card displays the resources that the logged-in user has accessed most recently.

Addon Management

The "Addons" card has been added under the menu item "Management \ Profile". Through this card, addons can be enabled for selected subscriptions - and if desired, marked as required.

Deploy from JSON

On the "Deployments" page (accessible via the menu item "Deployments"), a deployment can now be started using the [JSON DEPLOYMENT] button with valid JSON code.

Discontinuations

This section lists features and services that are removed from the scope of ix.Cloud with this release.

Run Once URL

The "Run Once URL" feature is being discontinued due to lack of use. Therefore, we are discontinuing this feature without adhering to the 6-month notice period.

By discontinuing unused features, we actively contribute to improving the user experience. This keeps forms in the portal's user interface lean and manageable, reducing complexity for the user.

Inventx Owned OS "CentOS 8" expires on 31.12.2021

The Inventx Owned OS "CentOS-8" reaches end-of-life on 31.12.2021 (see manufacturer's page). On this date, the operating system will be removed from the portal and will no longer be available for purchase.

As of 01.01.2022, Inventx will no longer be able to provide Plus Services for this operating system.

API V1 Endpoints for Resources

The following V1 Resource endpoints will be discontinued with Release 22.02:

MSSQL Server on Virtual Machine

With adherence to the 6-month notice period, the "MSSQL Server on Virtual Machine" service will be discontinued as of Release 22.06.

All already ordered instances of this service can continue to be operated without restrictions.

As an alternative, the Managed xSQL Instance service can be used.
