This document describes announcements as well as discontinuations in the scope of ix.Cloud services.
Announcements
This section describes changes to existing features as well as introductions of new functions and services that are included in the scope of this release.
Restructuring of Release Notes
Previously, the Release Notes were divided into the chapters "New Features and Services", "Enhancements and Changes" and "Discontinuations". The two chapters "New Features and Services" and "Enhancements and Changes" have been merged into the chapter "Announcements".
ix.Cloud Docs in English
As of now, the complete website docs.ixcloud.ch is also fully available in English. The switch to English is made via the language dropdown in the header of the website.
The English translation is performed automatically and is therefore not binding. The German documents remain binding.
Read View for Firewall Policies
In the ix.Cloud Portal under the menu item "Networking \ Firewall Policies", Firewall Policies are now available in a read view. The news entry contains all details about this new feature.
Patch Day Monday
Monday is now available as a Patch Day. The first paragraph in the Service Catalog in the Service Maintenance Windows section has been adjusted accordingly (see news entry).
Before Monday can be applied as a Patch Day on a resource, the Profile must be linked to the desired Subscriptions in the Portal.
Mark Resource as Favorite
To provide faster access to the most frequently used resources, a favorites function has been introduced. Further details can be found in the news entry.
Discontinuations
This section lists the functions and services that are being removed from the scope of services with this release.
API V1 Endpoints for Resources
The following V1 Resource Endpoints will be discontinued with Release 22.02:

MSSQL Server on Virtual Machine
In compliance with the 6-month termination notice, the service "MSSQL Server on Virtual Machine" will be discontinued as of Release 22.06.
All already ordered instances of this service can continue to be operated without restrictions.
As an alternative, the service Managed xSQL Instance can be used.
HighClock Hardware Profiles in SLA Silver
Due to lack of demand for HighClock Hardware Profiles in the SLA Silver variant, this service will be discontinued with Release 22.08 in compliance with the 6-month termination notice. HighClock Hardware Profiles in variants other than SLA Silver are not affected.
Please note that new orders of this service are no longer possible as of now.
